Engr. Olusegun Okedoye, Managing Director/ CEO Mountains Energy Solutions Ltd has praised the quality of talents in Nigeria, calling on the government to provide the rights environment for them to thrive.
He made the comment during the official opening of his company’s new office in Lagos on Thursday
Engr. Okedoye, has over Twenty-three years hands-on experience in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry. His company, an independent and wholly Nigerian Engineering Consultancy Company is dedicated to providing services to clients, who are mainly in the Energy & Power, Oil and gas production, gas processing and oil refining industries.
Speaking on the abundant talents and potentials in the country, he noted that Nigerians are doing very well across the world. He added that “There are so many skills set here in Nigeria that we are not utilizing; Nigerians should be given the right opportunity and environment to succeed”
He encouraged positive mentality among Nigerians, “As a man thinketh in his heart so he is. Nigerians should believe in themselves and show what they have to the world, and they should be proud of their root wherever they find themselves”
He addressed the need for the right environment, “The culture of our environment in Nigeria should recognize hard work, reward competence, put square pegs in square holes, not tribalistic and discourage entitlement mentality”
He challenged the government to create enabling environment for businesses to succeed, by discouraging multiplicity of taxes among other policies that hinder business survival.
On the track record of his company, “Our philosophy is to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions, on time, within budget and develop a relationship with our clients for mutual respect, whereby our professional approach places us first on the list when considering new tasks or technologies.
