Governor Seyi Makinde has presented the the certificate and staff of office to the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade.
The governor made the presentation at his office in Ibadan, the state capital on Monday.
The governor approved Owoade’s appointment as the Alaafin-elect, in an announcement made in a statement on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade.
He succeed late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, the 44th Alaafin of Oyo, who passed on two years ago.
