The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), in collaboration with Addefort Limited, is pleased to invite interested individuals and groups to participate at the 8th Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders’ Conference, themed: Policy Communication for Sustainable Healthcare and Wellness, holding at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
Health and wellness were given special focus in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Envision2030, due to its strategic importance to human sustainability. However, evidence from the recent pandemic that ravaged lives and businesses across the globe has shown that much still needs to be done by the government, corporate organizations, and individuals. Participants at the conference will include, representatives from the Government (Federal, State & Local Government), Corporate Organisations, NGOs, Insurance, Health Institutions, Health Consultants, Nutritionists, Fitness Educators, HODs of relevant Agencies, and media among other stakeholders. Observing Social DistancingAs a part of our commitment to observing the protocol on social distancing, this year’s Conference shall be a hybrid edition to check the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
THE LEGACY:The annual Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders’ Conference has evolved over the years to become a bridge-building talker-shop for stakeholders to interact, discuss and proffer solutions to the social, political and economic challenges plaguing our nation. The Conference is the brainchild of Addefort Limited; a public relations and concept development firm. It is worthy of note that since the first edition of the Conference in 2014, chaired by the President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, with the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, delivering the keynote address, subsequent editions have witnessed the participation of eminent and distinguished personalities that include; the Founder/Chairman, Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray Bruce; Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu; Founder/Chairman, Chrisland Schools, and Chrisland University, High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Winifred Awosika; Founder, Centre for Value in Leadership, Prof Pat Utomi; Chairman, National Executive Council, Nigerian Conservation Foundation, Chief Ede Dafinone; Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Managing Director Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Patrick Akinwuntan, amongst others.
The focus for this edition is premised on the need to achieve sustainable health and wellness in the country. As it is custom, the conference with the full complement of the Media is expected to come up with a Communiqué that will be submitted to the Federal Government and stakeholders on the theme.
