The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday announced the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries for the state civil service.
Before their appointment, the new appointees were directors in the Lagos State Civil Service.
A press statement by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, on Monday, listed the appointees as Mr Lawal Idowu; Mr Gbajumo Farouk; Mrs Atekoja Ganiyat, and Mrs Kilanko Olaperi.
Muri-Okunola added that the portfolios of the new permanent secretaries would be announced in due course.
The statement partly read, “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed four Directors in the Lagos State Civil Service as Permanent Secretaries.”
Give Sanwo-Olu, also re-appointed Mr Gboyega Akosile as his Chief Press Secretary.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued late Monday by the Head of Service, Muri-Okunola.
The appointment, according to the HoS, takes immediate effect.
Before his reappointment, Akosile had served as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sanwo-Olu during his first term.
He was also the Media Adviser to the governor since the inception of his second term on May 29, 2023.
The latest appointments are the second by the governor since the beginning of his second term in office.
