The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), and the Fintech Association of Nigeria have agreed to collaborate to drive digital transformation in the country’s insurance sector.
The Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Olusegun Omosehin, in Abuja on Wednesday, said the collaboration would help to revolutionalise the sector through technological innovation and strategic partnerships.
Omosehin said this when members of the association led by Dr Segun Aina, the President, Africa FinTech Network visited him.
He reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to rebuilding public trust through transparent digital solutions and protecting policyholders’ interests.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of digital adoption across the insurance industry.
He pledged the Commission’s commitment toward positioning the sector at the forefront of digital transformation.
Aina said the association would support NAICOM’s efforts to modernise and expand the insurance ecosystem.
He said that technology would help the sector to recapitalise effectively.
